Eleanor McClintock Williams

The beautiful self-portrait of Grandma Eleanor McClintock Williams and her horse, Sunny Boy that was done in 1934 to represent Cowpuncher Coffee's piñon flavor as it captures the essence of the West. This is a special special blend in honor of Cowpuncher owner Jim's Grandma Eleanor. Eleanor's life epitomized that of the strong, independent Western woman. She became a Champion Trick Rider performing in Tim McCoy’s Wild West Shows and Barnum & Bailey Circus. She is still the only woman to do the under the belly trick which was her signature move. Eleanor competed on the Professional Rodeo Circuit as Saddle Bronc rider when women were allowed to compete. She purchased and built a ranch during the Depression, raised five children, ran for the New Mexico Senate, was a published writer and became a recognized artist. She was also inducted as the 1986 Cowgirl Honoree - representing New Mexico in the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas.
