HATSOFF, Inc. started out as father and daughter, Richard and Perri Hamby. We kicked around the Hat Retainer idea back in 1989 while grumbling about Richard’s shrunken hat. Wood hat stretchers are expensive, so hat wearers often had to go out of their way to have their headgear stretched at a millinery shop.
